VMware Chooses CA's Infrastructure Management Products for its Global Monitoring Solution

After seven months of a grueling evaluation process, VMware, the majority-owned subsidiary of EMC Corporation, signed a US$1.23 million agreement to purchase CA's Infrastructure Management solutions, CA eHealth and CA SPECTRUM, for their global monitoring solution. This hard fought win started in early May against 21 vendors, including key competitors EMC SMARTS, HP, and IBM. CA received an impressive 100% score on the RFP response, which reduced the field to five vendors.
